For the 97th Academy Awards, actress Mahsa Rostami, star of the Oscar-nominated The Seed of the Sacred Fig by Mohammad Rasoulof, wore a custom Sara Behbud creation on the red carpet.
The sculptural silk corset reinterprets the Shah Abbasi flower and Afshan motifs of Persian carpets through a contemporary, pixelated language — bridging Persian cultural heritage with innovation and Italian craftsmanship.
Created in collaboration with Centro Milano Donna 9, the piece also carries the social vision at the heart of Donna Vita Libertà, supporting tailoring programs for women survivors of violence and women in vulnerable situations.
More than a red-carpet dress, it is a statement of heritage, womanhood and freedom.
